JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Authorities say two women are dead following a northeast Florida crash involving a school bus and a semi-trailer.

The Florida Highway Patrol reports that the bus was taking students home from Dinsmore Elementary Friday afternoon. Two cars were stopped behind the bus as several children got off. The semi’s driver apparently didn’t see them stopped and slammed into the two cars.

A Duval Public Schools spokeswoman says three students were reported injured. There were 15 students on the bus at the time of the crash.

Officials weren’t immediately saying which vehicles the two dead women came from. The Florida Times-Union (https://goo.gl/uzZLLf ) reports that one of the women died at the scene, while the other died after being rushed to a hospital in critical condition.
