PARK HILLS, Mo. (AP) - A Missouri man is in the custody of the U.S. Border Patrol after allegedly illegally crossing into Mexico while out of jail on bond.

The Daily Journal newspaper in Park Hills, Mo. (https://bit.ly/1hvpIG5 ) reports that 51-year-old Skyle T. Marberry of Park Hills was arrested last week on an indictment for first-degree assault and armed criminal action related to a 2012 stabbing. He had been sought for nearly a year.

Marberry posted a $125,000 bond through a bail bond agent last week. On Saturday, a Border Patrol agent allegedly spotted Marberry illegally crossing into Mexico and tried to stop him but couldn’t. Authorities say Marberry was captured after coming back into the U.S.

St. Francois County authorities have revoked Marberry’s bond. For now, he remains jailed in Texas.
