George Zimmerman, of Trayvon Martin trial fame, was back in the news this week when police in Florida pulled him over for speeding.
The Associated Press reported that Mr. Zimmerman was given a ticket on Tuesday for driving 60 mph in an area zoned for a maximum speed of 45 mph.
This isn’t the first time Mr. Zimmerman crossed paths with police since his famous trial on murder charges for the 17-year-old Trayvon. He was also stopped by police near Dallas on July 28 for a driving infraction. Then, he was told to slow down and given just a warning.
The July incident occurred just days after he was acquitted on murder charges in the shooting death of Trayvon.
