Rescuers on Friday were combing the ocean for a man who went missing after a cargo ship collided with a freighter near Tokyo.

Authorities said at least five were injured, and the freighter was capsized, United Press International reported. The identity of the missing man was not released.

Japan’s Coast Guard reported the cargo ship as the 498-ton Eifuku Maru No. 18. It crashed into the freighter Jia Hui, 2,962 tons, about 62 miles from the capital city, Kyodo reported.

The missing man and the five injured men had been traveling aboard the cargo ship.
