OPINION:
If there is any question about what kind of governor Terry McAuliffe would be, just look at his role models. Mr. McAuliffe praised Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley at a fundraiser in Annapolis this summer, but Mr. O’Malley doesn’t deserve praise from Virginia, he deserves its thanks. Mr. O’Malley signed the largest tax hike in Maryland history. And because of it, nearly 40,000 Marylanders moved to our commonwealth between 2007 and 2010, according to The Washington Times (“Marylanders move in droves to Virginia,” Web, July 3).
If we want to keep Virginia’s taxes low for residents and businesses alike, we need to elect Ken Cuccinelli in November — and let Mr. McAuliffe move to Maryland and carry on the big-government policies of his role model.
