Elton John had some tough words for Lady Gaga, the godmother to his two sons, during an interview this week saying she is in “a dangerous place” by letting her persona take over her life, the New York Post reported.

Mr. John said Lady Gaga has stopped taking his calls.

“I’d like to be able to talk to her right now, but I can’t get through to her,” he said, according to the New York Post. “And there are times when you have to listen. When your persona begins to take over your music and becomes more important, you enter a dangerous place. Once you have people around you who don’t question you, you’re in a dangerous place.”

But the famed singer didn’t stop there.

“Look at Lindsay Lohan. There was someone with a successful career and her parents completely [expletive] her up. The dad was in jail and the mum was doing coke with her. Great!”

“I look at Miley Cyrus and I see a meltdown waiting to happen,” he added. “And she’s so young! But she’s got two records in the top 20, so who is going to stop her?”

Mr. John claimed he can “spot a car crash before it happens,” saying that he knew Michael Jackson was going to die before he could begin his “This is it” concert series at the O2 Arena in London.

“The secret of success is: don’t let everyone know everything,” he said. “Keep some of it to yourself. It’s why I’m not a big fan of the internet. There should be some privacy, some mystique left. Even with me. All they talk about is the hair, the flowers. Actually, they don’t know me at all.”
