The State Department’s Bureau of Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs plans to send $450,000 in federal funds to Morocco’s coffers to create green jobs, CNS News reports.
“Morocco has set the goal to become one of the world’s largest sustainable economies by 2020, with an emphasis on creating green jobs in: renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, environmental and natural resource management, and improvement in environmental technologies,” the official grant announcement reads.
Attempts by CNS News to get officials to comment on the green energy grants were not successful.
