Jon Sandusky, an executive for the Cleveland Browns and the son of disgraced ex-Penn State assistant coach Jerry Sandusky, was arrested early Tuesday morning in Frago, N.D., on charges of drunken driving.
Police followed him after he made an illegal turn, Fargo Lt. Joel Vettel said, The Forum of Fargo-Moorhead reported. The officer then performed field sobriety tests on Mr. Sandusky, 36, and arrested him. He was released from jail later that evening.
But his position with the Cleveland Browns may be jeopardized. Mr. Sandusky has spent the last four seasons as the Browns’ director of player personnel — and that’s after nine seasons with Philadelphia, in the personnel department, The Daily Mail reported.
“We’re aware of the situation and currently working to gather facts,” said Browns’ spokesman Zak Gilbert, to The Associated Press.
Mr. Sandusky’s infamous father, Jerry, 69, is now behind bars, serving a 30- to 60-year prison term for sexually abusing 10 young boys over a span of 15 years.
