ARLINGTON, TEXAS (AP) - Peyton Manning is keeping up his record pace of touchdown passes to start the season.
The Denver quarterback’s 19th scoring toss was a 9-yarder to Julius Thomas in the second quarter against Dallas on Sunday. He’s held the record since throwing seven TD passes in the opener against Baltimore.
Daunte Culpepper held the previous mark of 18 in the first five games with Minnesota in 2004.
Manning had three touchdown passes in the first half against the Cowboys. Thomas also had a 4-yarder to open Denver’s scoring, and Eric Decker caught a 2-yard touchdown.
Decker had a 57-yard catch to set up Thomas’ first score.
