Disgraced former San Diego Mayor Bob Filner will receive a pension check on Halloween, according to a spokesman for the city’s employee retirement system.

Mr. Filner can anticipate receiving his first check on Thursday, based on his full annual amount of $20,000, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

On Oct. 15, Mr. Filner pleaded guilty to two counts of misdemeanor battery involving three women and felony false imprisonment.
