A horrendous Friday morning car crash between a police officer and a vehicle at a section of road in Ohio has left six dead, including a 2-year-old toddler.

Among the victims WBNS-10TV reported: An adult man and five females, ages unknown, as well as a child, age 2. The six were pronounced dead at the scene, which unfolded shortly after 1:30 a.m., The Columbus Dispatch reported.

The officer, meanwhile, has been taken to the hospital for minor injuries, Fox News reported.

The crash occurred as the officer was driving to a robbery call, with lights and sirens on, the Columbus Dispatch reported.

Authorities are investigating. The identities of the dead haven’t been released, pending notification of family.
