First lady Michelle Obama is poised for a second appearance on “The Biggest Loser,” NBC’s reality show to help contestants lose weight.

Her reason for doing the show?

To promote her campaign for the need to drink more water, The Hill reported. But her appearance is tied to advertising dollars and a slick marketing campaign.

Brita — the German-founded company that provides water filtration services — is not only a sponsor of “The Biggest Loser,” but also jointly supports Mrs. Obama’s drink-more-water campaign.

The first lady first made an appearance on the show in April 2012. Then, she joined contestants as they exercised at the White House. The show was timed to coincide with her “Let’s Move!” campaign to combat obesity.
