Authors of a new book about former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher say that while the Iron Lady wouldn’t speak publicly about President Obama and his policies, she did have strong feelings about his leadership and whispered them before she died.

Among her beliefs: Mr. Obama is way too liberal for America, The Daily Caller reported, about the new book, “Margaret Thatcher on Leadership: Lessons for American Conservatives Today.”

The book was penned by professional writer Stephen Thompson and former Thatcher aide, Niles Gardiner. And among their findings about Thatcher’s innermost thoughts: She was very concerned about the direction America was taking under Mr. Obama’s presidency.

“Thatcher never commented publicly on President Obama’s leadership, though the Obama administration’s big government agenda undoubtedly runs counter to everything the Iron Lady believed in,” the authors said, in an interview with The Daily Caller. “Privately, she was concerned by the leftward direction the United States has been taking since 2009 and declining American leadership on the world stage.”
