A Jewish newlywed couple in London was horrified when they sat down to watch their wedding video for the first time, only to hear the cameraman go on an anti-Semitic rant.
Stan Gocman, 28, and wife Claudia, 27, hired videographer Anthony Aurelius to capture their special day at a London synagogue and a hotel reception, the Daily Mail reported.
Throughout the tape, Mr. Aurelius is captured saying, “I don’t think I blame Hitler,” and branding the wedding guests as “[expletive] cows.”
He was heard telling his assistant: “Not a very attractive bride at all.” He also called Jews “the meanest people in the world,” adding “there’s not a lot of niceness about them is there?”
He even criticized the couple for choosing to buy a cheaper package from him, the Mail reported.
“It’s completely anti-Semitic and ignorant,” Mrs. Gocman said. “At first, I was really upset but then I was furious. I think he’s a disgusting little man. I can’t even stand to watch the video, it makes me so angry.”
After the wife contacted Mr. Aurelius, he sent a handwritten letter of apology to the couple and refunded their money.
“I am very sorry for offending you and possibly your family also. You did not deserve this. I am ashamed, in honesty,” he wrote, according to the Mail. “I have felt awful about this and did not know what to say, in truth.
“We know, in truth, very little about what went on in the war,” he continued. “To be deeply honest, I respect your strength as a culture from coming back from this. I am trying to walk a good life, but in this instance I failed very badly in God’s eyes.”
