The FBI in Boston is offering a reward of up to $20,000 for information leading to the recovery of two rifles stolen from an FBI SWAT emergency response vehicle.

Investigators say a Colt M16-A1 rifle and an HS Precision Pro-Series 2000 sniper rifle were stolen from the vehicle parked in Andover overnight Wednesday and into Thursday morning, according to several media reports.

Other vehicles parked in the area were also looted.

“The FBI continues to devote significant resources to locate these weapons, determine who stole them and remove them from the possession of the unauthorized individuals who may have them,” the bureau said in a statement.
