An American soldier stationed overseas and engaged in a video chat with his pregnant wife was shocked and horrified to watch as someone broke into their El Paso, Texas, home and brutally stabbed her several times.

Pvt. Justin Poole was able to discern from his wife’s screams the name of the attacker. He then went on Facebook and sent a message identifying the suspect, 19-year-old Corey Bernard Moss, so that police could respond to the home and arrest him, Fox Insider reported.

The soldier’s wife, 31-year-old Rachel Poole, is in critical condition at a hospital, recovering from stab wounds to her face and body and to a collapsed lung, Fox reported.

Meanwhile, the couple’s baby, Isabella, was delivered by doctors by cesarean section and is doing well.

The suspect was charged with attempted murder and given a $150,000 bond.

The soldier and his wife have since been reunited. The military allowed Pvt. Poole to travel back to El Paso to be with his wife and daughter.

Fox Insider reported that Mr. Moss is known to the family. Pvt. Poole let the 19-year-old borrow his car during his deployment, but they later argued over damage to the car and the cost of repairs.
