Conservative author Dinesh D’Souza tweeted, then deleted a comment on Thursday saying he’s thankful America has prevailed, having a “grown-up Trayvon [Martin] in the White House.”
“I am thankful this week when I remember that America is big enough and great enough to survive Grown-Up Trayvon in the White House!” he tweeted to his nearly 30,000 followers.
Nearly an hour later, Mr. D’Souza wrote, “Feigned outrage on the left over me calling Obama ’grown up Trayvon’ except that Obama likened himself to Trayvon!” Politico reported.
Both tweets have since been deleted.
Mr. D’Souza, a former policy analyst under President Ronald Reagan, co-directed the film “2016: Obama’s America” based on his own book, “The Roots of Obama’s Rage,” the Huffington Post reported.
