A crew on Wednesday demolished Eminem’s childhood home in Detroit after a fire earlier this month damaged the top floor.
The rundown home — on Dresden Street south of 8 Mile Road — is pictured on the cover of Eminem’s recently released album, “The Marshall Mathers LP 2,” CBS Detroit reported.
The rapper’s mother Deborah Mathers acquired the home in 1987. It was in much better shape when it was featured in the rapper’s 2000 album “The Marshall Mathers LP.”
The Michigan Land Bank said in a statement that the home was “structurally unsafe” after the fire, CBS reported.
