The Rev. Billy Graham was sent back to the hospital on Wednesday with a respiratory congestion ailment, one of his spokesmen said.
Mr. Graham, who just celebrated his 95th birthday, has been admitted to the hospital for similar reasons over the past year, Fox News reported.
“As was the case then, we expect he will be able to return home in a day or two,” spokesman Mark DeMoss said, Fox News reported.
Mr. Graham is one of the leading voices in evangelical Christianity, preaching sermons around the world before massive audiences. He’s also a key figure on the political stage, having held counseling sessions with every president since Harry Truman.
He just released another book, “The Reason for Hope: Salvation.”
Mr. Graham has suffered from other ailments in the past, including prostate cancer. For that, he was hospitalized for two weeks in 2007, and doctors found intestinal bleeding, Fox News reported.
Mr. Graham’s organization, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, is primarily now run by his son Franklin.
