A Learjet crashed off the coast of Florida late Tuesday night, killing all four aboard, authorities confirmed.
Authorities reported in a press conference on Wednesday morning that the plane had been traveling from the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport to Mexico, after making a medical drop-off at a Florida hospital.
The dead included the two pilots, a doctor and a nurse, Fox News said.
Authorities found the downed craft floating in waters that were just a mile from land, Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said, The Associated Press reported.
The jet — a Learjet 35 — is registered in Mexico.
