Two U.S. sailors have been treated for minor burns after the ship they were on was hit by a malfunctioning drone off the coast of Southern California.

The Navy was testing combat weapons aboard its USS Chancellorsville over the weekend, and the drone was being used to test out the vessel’s radar tracking system, CNN reported. The drone spun out of control and smashed into the ship, said Lt. Lenaya Rotklein, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Third Fleet.

The ship, meanwhile, was slightly damaged in the incident. It’s been sent back to its San Diego port for work, while the Navy has started an investigation, CNN reported.

The names of the sailors, or specifics of their injuries, were not released.
