For one day only, Emerson College in Boston will be named the Ron Burgundy School of Communication to honor the fictitious San Diego anchorman on Dec. 4.

Actor Will Ferrell, in character, is scheduled to give a news conference at which he will share with students his experience in building his newsroom empire. He also will introduce his new movie, “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues,” and give a private screening of the comedy before it is formally released on Dec. 20.

College President Lee Pelton said Mr. Burgundy “understands the power of media, as well as hairspray, firsthand,” The Associated Press reported.
