What a blockhead. The man behind the voice of Charlie Brown in the special, “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” was sentenced Wednesday in a San Diego courtroom on charges of stalking and threatening his ex-girlfriend and her plastic surgeon.
Peter Robbins — also the voice of the main character in “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” — was sentenced to time served and ordered to stay away from the surgeon for 10 years, TMZ reported. Finally, he was ordered to pay $15,081 in restitution to the woman and given five years of probation, TMZ said.
His charges stemmed from a January incident in which he was accused of stalking and threatening the couple. Mr. Robbins pleaded guilty in April.
He avoided more jail time because he took part in an eight-month rehabilitation program, United Press International reported.
