A pilot was killed when the vintage jet he was navigating at an air airshow near Madrid crashed and exploded into a dramatic fireball.
An estimated 3,000 were in attendance at the airshow and witnessed the crash, which sent a massive fireball and billows of black smoke into the air, Sky News reported.
A spokesman for Spain’s Defense Ministry said the pilot, Ladislao Tejedor Romero, 35, was experienced. He died at the hospital of serious burns, Sky News said.
