James Carville heaped praise upon Sen. Ted Cruz Sunday on “This Week,” calling him “the most talented and fearless Republican politician I’ve seen in the last 30 years.”

“I further think that he is going to run for president, and he is going to create something,” he added emphatically.

“He touches every button. This guy has no fear. He just keeps plowing ahead. He is going to be something to watch,” the pundit said, adding that he thinks Sen. Cruz is “more talented than all of the other guys.”

The Washington Times reported last week that the senator gained some mockery from media outlets after he referred to his colleagues as “squishes.”

“There is one thing this guy is not and that is squishy,” Mr. Carville joked.
