A patron aboard a Dinosaur ride at Walt Disney World in Florida found a gun on her seat, police said Wednesday.
The Associated Press reported that the woman was riding the Animal Kingdom ride with her grandson. She turned the gun over to park officials, who then contacted the police, AP said.
Angelo Lista, who owns the gun and has a legal conceal weapon permit, said he learned it was missing a few minutes after he rode the Dinosaur. He also said he didn’t know that visitors to Disney World were barred from carting in guns.
Mr. Lista said he thought security checkpoints at the park entrances were to root out bombs, not guns, AP reported.
