CONCORD, N.C. (AP) - Well, this could be a relationship tester.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. nudged girlfriend Danica Patrick on lap 319 of the Coca-Cola 600, sending her No. 10 Chevy into Brad Keselowski, who hit the outside wall.
Keselowski and Patrick sustained significant damage and both cars went behind the wall for repairs.
Patrick was running a lap down following a restart and Stenhouse was inside of her when he went up the track slightly and nudged Patrick’s car as they ran three wide. That sent Patrick into Keselowski, who hit the outside wall.
Six laps later, Stenhouse narrowly escaped a six-car wreck that took out Jeff Gordon and Mark Martin and brought out the red flag.
However, he was able to remain on the track.
