Youth gangs in one Stockholm suburb were rioting on Monday, hurling rocks and setting buildings and cars on fire, in protest of police who fatally shot an elderly man.

An entire apartment block has been evacuated, The Associated Press reported. Three police officers were injured by rocks so far.

The riot involves about 50 youths and is taking place in a suburb just west of Stockholm, called Husby, AP reported. No arrests have yet been made.

Police spokesman Lars Brystrom said the protesters have also set a parking garage on fire, leading to the forced evacuation of a nearby apartment complex. One Husby resident, Ali Muzelef, said in a Swedish radio broadcast that the protesters were still upset at this month’s shooting and that they believed their complaints had not been taken seriously, AP reported.
