Iran says it has new air defense missile technology that can take on low-flying craft, and it’s in process of mass producing the system.
The system, called Herz-9 or Talisman-9 in Farsi, can also fly at night, Defense Minister Gen. Ahmad Vahidi said, The Associated Press reported. State television broadcast pictures of the system — two missiles mounted on top of truck.
Outside media and military experts have yet to independently verify the new technology.
But Iran has been pursuing new technology for their submarines and jet fighters for some time, AP said, mostly to offset effects from the West’s military embargo.
