Three soldiers at an army bomb disposal unit in southern Spain were killed Monday when a blast rocked the facility, the country’s defense ministry said.
The cause of the explosion at the Alvarez de Sotomayor base in Viator is still unknown, the Associated Press reported.
All three killed were non-commissioned officers. Two others were injured, but their military ranks or extent of injuries were not immediately clear, AP said.
