CONCORD, N.C. (AP) - Charlotte Motor Speedway track owner Bruton Smith doesn’t have to worry about dishing out that $1 million bonus.
Kurt Busch won the first segment of the Sprint All-Star race Saturday night, but finished fourth in second segment three spots behind brother Kyle.
That means nobody will earn the additional $1 million Smith promised to hand out if a driver won all four 20-lap segments and the 10-lap shootout.
Kyle Busch had estimated on Saturday the odds of a driver accomplishing that feat are about “300 to one.”
The Sprint All-Star race winner still wins $1 million.
