Location, location, location — and money. Those are the main sticking points for former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who reportedly was asked by reality-show producer Mark Burnett to host her own television talk show.
Newsmax reported that Mrs. Palin turned down the offer because she doesn’t want to be based in either New York or Los Angeles — breeding grounds for elites, a person familiar with discussions was cited as saying. Yet the deal is still alive.
Mr. Burnett hints that Mrs. Palin is the next Oprah, and though his office wouldn’t comment on the matter, another top Hollywood executive speaking on condition of anonymity told Newsmax that the right money offer could prove the game-changer.
“[Mrs. Palin] passed over money,” the executive said to Nexmax. “I don’t think she closed the door.”
And Mrs. Palin said to Newsmax in an email: “Todd and I have always loved working with Mark Burnett, and our family is always up for adventure, so never say never.”
