Police in New Orleans working with federal investigators identified one of the suspects believed to have opened fire at a Mother’s Day parade through town, injuring 19.

Authorities were searching on Tuesday for Akein Scott, 19, Police Superintendent Ronal Serpas said, The Associated Press reported. Mr. Serpas said it’s too early to tell whether Mr. Scott was the only one allegedly involved in the shooting, and police were keeping open the possibility of more suspects.

“[We] have multiple identifications of Akein Scott as the shooter” on surveillance camera images of the shooting, Mr. Serpas said, in the AP report. We would like to remind the community and Akein Scott that the time has come for him to turn himself in.”

Mr. Scott has a past criminal history with previous arrests on firearms and drug charged, Mr. Serpas said in The AP report.

While most of the wounded in the Sunday shooting have been treated and released from the hospital, three are still in critical condition, AP reported.
