A car bomb exploded outside a hospital in Benghazi, Libya, on Monday, killing nine people, including children, said a security official.
Another 17 or so were injured, said Salah al-Bargathi, an official with the defense ministry, according to BBC. The death toll could rise, officials said.
One witness saw people fleeing the scene, some “collecting parts of bodies,” BBC reported.
The blast is the latest in a string of bombings in Libya in recent weeks, including a car bomb outside the French Embassy in Tripoli last month that injured several people.
