A Colorado Applebee’s server was shocked when she asked for identification from a patron, only to have her own I.D. handed to her.
“Four people come in, walk in, sit down. They start ordering drinks. This girl hands me my ID as a fake ID,” Brianna Priddy told NBC 9 News.
Just a couple weeks earlier, Ms. Priddy’s wallet was stolen, including her cash, credit cards and driver’s license. Someone was using her identity and writing hundreds of dollars in bad checks.
By a stunning coincidence the woman who had caused all of the server’s problems was seated in her section.
“But I didn’t say anything. I handed it back to her and said sure I’ll be right back with your margarita. [I] went straight to the phone, called the cops,” Ms. Priddy said. “I put on my server smile and tried to take care of them, but I was shaking like crazy.”
The bizarre part of the story is that the woman, who police won’t identify, is 26 year old, which is obviously old enough to legally purchase alcohol.
The woman faces felony charges including theft, identity theft, criminal impersonation, and even selling drugs, after police found a significant amount of a variety of drugs in her purse, NBC 9 News reports.
