Even liberal-leaning Daily Show host Jon Stewart gave Sen. Rand Paul praise for filibustering in a quest for answers on drones.
“Drone oversight is one [issue] certainly worth kicking up a fuss for,” the comic said on his Wednesday evening broadcast. Mr. Stewart also commended the Kentucky Republican for his use of the filibuster.
That’s “the way it’s meant to be used,” Mr. Stewart said.
Mr. Stewart admitted he generally doesn’t agree with many of Mr. Paul’s political beliefs, but found common ground on the senator’s reliance on the “good old-fashioned actual talkie filibuster,” he said.
