Would-be ammunition buyers might have to complete anger-management class before making their purchase, if one Florida politico has her way.

Democratic Sen. Audrey Gibson has brought forth a bill that mandates a three-day waiting period for ammunition purchases, Fox News reports. And during that waiting period, buyers would have to prove they’ve completed an anger-management program — and if they can’t, they have to take one as a condition of purchase.

Her idea is also to mandate ammunition buyers retake the course every 10 years, Fox News says.

“This is not about guns,” Ms. Gibson said, in the Fox News report. “This is about ammunition and not only for the safety of the general community, but also for the safety of law enforcement.”

Ms. Gibson’s biggest concern: Gun owners who are stockpiling ammunition.

“It’s about getting people to think, really, about how much ammunition they need,” she said, in Fox News’ report. “It’s a step, I think, in a safer direction. It’s about getting people to think before they buy.”
