A snowstorm dubbed by weather forecasters as dangerous has hit hard at spots in the Midwest, dumping up to 7 inches of snow. Next up: Chicago.
Most roads in Minnesota and North Dakota were coated with ice and snow, AccuWeather reported, and travel advisories were in effect. The storm’s not disappearing any time soon. Forecasts are for the opposite, in fact: It’s going to strengthen as it moves south into Illinois.
Chicago may be in for its heaviest snow of the season, AccuWeather says. And meteorologist Brian Edwards warns the East Coast to watch out.
“This is the same winter storm which could bring significant snow to Washington, D.C., and Baltimore metro areas with dangerous coastal flooding along the East Coast Wednesday into Thursday,” he said, in a written statement on AccuWeather’s website.
