Crime knows no bounds. U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts has been hit by credit card fraud, various media report.
A spokeswoman for the high court confirmed to The Associated Press that someone did steal one of his credit card account numbers — but few other details were released. The news came to light when Mr. Roberts mentioned to a Starbucks cashier in Maryland that he was paying in cash because his credit card number had been stolen, and he had to cancel the account, as reported by The Washington Post.
Mr. Roberts isn’t the only Supreme Court member to be victimized by crime.
Last May, someone broke into Justice Stephen Breyer’s home, AP says.
