On President Obama’s list of things to do in the coming days: First, sit for interviews on Spanish-language news stations Telemundo and Univision. Then off to California for four major Democratic Party fundraisers at billionaires’ mansions.
Politico reports the president is due to interview with Telemundo and Univision on immigration reform. Last time Mr. Obama appeared on the networks was in late January — when he spoke about his hopes for immigration reform, also.
Next week, it’s on to the West Coast.
There, Politico reports, Mr. Obama will hit the fundraising trail for four different events, including a Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee reception at billionaire clean-energy activist Tom Steyer’s home.
He is also scheduled to dine at the Getty mansion on Billionaires Row with campaign supporter Gordon Getty, Politico reports. The dinner is a fundraiser for the DCCC, too, Politico says.
The Getty mansion appearance is a repeat. Mr. Obama visited in 2008 for a dinner and fundraiser, Politico reports.
That’s just April 3 events. The following day, Mr. Obama will lead fundraisers for the Democratic National Committee at two residences: One owned by Mark Heising and Liz Simons, and the other, owned by Marcia and John Goldman, Politico reports.
