Earvin “Magic” Johnson says his experience shows that President Obama’s health-care overhaul is working out well.

“Obamacare is working,” the Hall of Fame basketball star said, as reported by The Hill. “I talk to a lot of CEOs of hospitals. It is working.”

Mr. Johnson commended Florida Gov. Rick Scott for accepting the Medicaid expansion and signing on to Obamacare. He made the comments at the tail end of an interview about the NCAA basketball tournament, The Hill reports.

“I’m glad that Gov. Scott down in Florida accepted Obamacare because it will work,” he said, as The Hill reported.

Mr. Johnson retired from professional basketball after testing positive for HIV in the 1990s.
