Twitter, touting more than 200 million active users, turns 7 years old today.

It’s a far cry from March 21, 2006, when site co-founder made history with the first-ever tweet: “Just setting up my twttr,” as CNET reports. In the years since, tweets have come from around the world — as well as from outer space, from under the sea and from the inside of the plane that fell into the Hudson River, to name a few, CNET reports.

An estimated 400 million tweets go forth each and every day, CNET says.

In celebration of its birthday, the social networking giant has released a video, touting more of its accomplishments.
