“We’re at CPAC not to rebrand a party; we’re here to rebuild a country,” said former GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, in a speech that shows for many conservatives she’s still a rock star of the right.

Before the former Alaska governor spoke, Ted Cruz in a surprise move introduced her, hours before he was slated to be the featured closing speaker at CPAC.

Her funniest line referred to Christmas gifts exchanged by her and her husband: “You got the rifle; I got the rack,” a double entendre the conservative but not prissy audience clearly loved.
