Conservative commentator and author Ann Coulter described Democratic Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s reaction to tough talk on the Second Amendment as Hillary-esque drama.
The California senator couldn’t stand the heat from Republican Sen. Ted Cruz, when he attempted to reason with her about First and Second Amendment freedoms, Ms. Coulter recalled, during a Fox News appearance Thursday evening. She nearly shed crocodile tears.
“He asked some very important questions, and Dianne Feinstein, like her other ’I am woman, hear me roar’ Democratic female Hillary Clinton, as soon as they get a question they don’t like, they start crying,” Ms. Coulter mocked. “Oh, that’s fantastic.”
Ms. Clinton has shed tears at times of tough political questioning. Recently, she cried during congressional testimony on the Sept. 11, 2012, attacks on the U.S. Embassy in Benghazi, Libya. And while running for her Senate seat years ago, she was criticized by conservatives for a tough demeanor that seemed to conveniently disappear when the campaign turned hot.
