Taliban militants have claimed responsibility for firing up to three missiles at a U.S.-operated military facility in Bagram, in northern Afghanistan.
Bagram security chief Zmarai Nasiri said two of the missiles hit inside the base, but there were no casualties, United Press International reports. Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Majahid, meanwhile, said the coalition forces suffered three casualties, UPI said.
The attack took place about the same time Afghan police were reporting five Taliban fighters died in separate fights with security, UPI said.
