An earthquake hit a wide swath of Southern California on Monday morning, with tremors reported in Los Angeles and San Diego.
A seismic analyst at the California Institute of Technology said the earthquake had an estimated magnitude of 4.7.
The epicenter was about a dozen miles from the desert town of Anza, about 100 miles from Los Angeles, CBS News reports.
Palms Springs police Sgt. Harvey Reed said his department, located near the epicenter, received no reports of damage or injuries, CBS reports.
