The grisly street killing of British soldier Lee Rigby that was captured on video — and contained graphic images of one knife-wielding suspect with bloodied hands — was a hoax perpetrated by the government, a Muslim student group said.
Rigby, 25, was hacked to death on a London street on May 22 as he walked to his barracks in Woolwich. Michael Adebolajo, 28, and Michael Adebowale, 22, have been arrested and charged with murder.
Just hours after the events unfolded, the Islamic Society, a group of Muslim students at London Metropolitan University, sent out a YouTube video that argued the entire crime was a hoax — that one suspect’s hands were covered in “fake blood,” the Daily Mail reported.
The video spans six minutes and is titled “Woolwich false flag [expletive], Masses are in a state-sponsored trance,” the Daily Mail said. The video also alleges that Scotland Yard investigators looking into the killing are actually Freemasons with secret anti-Muslim tendencies. The film puts forth, too, that the so-called traumatized witnesses seen in the video of the scene are actually part of the hoax, and it even mocks those who are seen trying to give comfort to Rigby.
“These women look very traumatized lol [laugh out loud],” the Muslim group’s video states, as the Daily Mail reported.
The Muslim group’s video also contains subtitles characterizing the blood on the suspects’ hands as fake.
“Where is the blood on his hands that is seen on most of the other videos? … Now add some fake blood and a fake media … I need proof and not fabricated [expletive],” the Daily Mail reported.
