Former Florida Rep. Allen West revealed that he is considering a run for the presidency in 2016 on Sean Hannity’s radio program Tuesday.
Colonel West, who lost last year after a prolonged post-election battle over voter fraud, said that he will make himself “available to run” for any office he is called to serve by the American people, the National Review reported.
He discussed the Benghazi and IRS scandals with the radio host, saying the country needs the “right type of leadership,” the National Review reported.
“I don’t think we should ever elect someone who wants to be president,” the Republican said. “We should elect someone who is called to be president.”
