Mobster James “Whitey” Bulger couldn’t contain his anger with a former federal agent who took the witness stand on Thursday and testified that the gangster worked on the sly for the FBI in Boston.
“You’re a [expletive] liar,” Bulger muttered during the agent’s testimony, prompting a scolding from the court, according to CNN.
Prosecutor Brian Kelly asked Judge Denise Casper to tell Bulger to “keep his little remarks to himself,” CNN reported.
The prosecution asserts Bulger, who is charged with 19 murders, was an informant for the FBI for 15 years, an allegation the defense has tried to debunk to the angst of the judge.
An obviously exasperated Judge Casper asked during Thursday’s discussion of motions about Bulger’s informant records, “How does that address your client is not guilty of crimes here?”
