Co-host of Fox News Channel’s “The Five,” Eric Bolling opened Thursday evening’s show with a bit of Spanish — a half-joking commentary on the sweeping changes that are coming to America via immigration reform.

“[I’m] just practicing,” he said, adding that the bill is going to change “the very definition of the American dream and the ethnic landscape forever.”

Liberal co-host Bob Beckel struck back.

“Whenver there’s been massive immigration of ethnic groups into this country going back 150 years, they always say that the landscape is going to change,” Mr. Beckel said, Raw Story reported. “They did it with the Irish, remember ’Irish need not apply?’ They did it with the Italians.”

And to Mr. Bolling, he suggested he quit “jumping to conclusions,” Raw Story reported. Legalizing the estimated 11 million illegal aliens who are already in the nation won’t necessarily “change the landscape,” he said.
